Usage Instructions
- Ensure the sliders move freely and scales align to zero before taking measurements.
- Position the gauge base flat and lower the slider to touch the weld crown to read reinforcement height.
- Rest the gauge body against the workpiece and slide the tip to contact the vertical member for fillet dimensions.
- Align the gauge and extend the pointer to touch the center of the weld face for throat measurement.
- Zero the height gauge and carefully insert the probe tip into undercuts or pits to read defect depth.
- Adjust the pivoting arm to measure bevel angles (90°–150°) or span the total weld width.
- Insert the tapered wedge into the joint gap and read the clearance at the contact line.
