Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure the sliders move freely and scales align to zero before taking measurements.
  2. Position the gauge base flat and lower the slider to touch the weld crown to read reinforcement height.
  3. Rest the gauge body against the workpiece and slide the tip to contact the vertical member for fillet dimensions.
  4. Align the gauge and extend the pointer to touch the center of the weld face for throat measurement.
  5. Zero the height gauge and carefully insert the probe tip into undercuts or pits to read defect depth.
  6. Adjust the pivoting arm to measure bevel angles (90°–150°) or span the total weld width.
  7. Insert the tapered wedge into the joint gap and read the clearance at the contact line.
