Usage Instructions
- Ensure the slider moves freely and all scales align precisely to zero before taking measurements.
- Lock the depth gauge, lower the slider to touch the weld crown, and read the reinforcement height directly from the scale.
- Rest the gauge body flat against the base plate and slide the probe tip to contact the vertical member for fillet dimensions.
- Align the gauge against the joint and extend the pointer to touch the centre of the weld face to determine throat thickness.
- Zero the height gauge, then insert the narrow probe tip into any surface undercut or pit to measure defect depth.
